  26. Kind of hard to say what is _normal_, since so much depends
  27. on the efficiency of the system to whichyou are connected.

  30. With unregistered PPP 1.30, I grabbed ftp (binary) files at
  31. 1900-2000 cps, and with registered PPP 1.30, I usually see
  32. 2500 cps or so, and 2800 cps if I'm on at a non-busy time
  33. (3 AM local)
  34. and that comes close to the 40% Mr. Kruse has written of
  35. as the expected increase in speed with the registered device
  36. driver.
  37. I don't yet have the commercial versin of AmiTCP.
